CCP\u00ae Field Counselors provide technical assistance, procedural guidance, mentoring, field expertise, and observational assessment for CCP\u00ae candidates.\u00a0Field Counselors are selected by the CCP\u00ae Candidate and identified to The NECPA\u00a0Commission, Inc. on the CCP\u00ae Registration Form.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-713622\" style=\"height: 20px; clear: both; width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-941548 kc_row kc_row_inner\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-327181 kc_col-sm-12 kc_column_inner kc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"kc_wrapper kc-col-inner-container\">\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-459975 divider_line\">\n\t<div class=\"divider_inner divider_line1\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-427937 divider_line\">\n\t<div class=\"divider_inner divider_line1\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-15339 kc_text_block\"><\/p>\n<p>To qualify as a Field Counselor, an individual must meet the following criteria in Education, Experience, and Professionalism through one of the following paths:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Path 1<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.A., B.S., or advanced degree in one of the following fields:\n<ul>\n<li>Child Development<\/li>\n<li>Early Childhood\u00a0Education<\/li>\n<li>Early Childhood Special Education that addresses child development, learning from birth through kindergarten, health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Family Studies Or other early childhood-related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>And 1 year of experience in a licensed center-based early childhood program serving children birth through 5 years of age as a teacher, care provider, child life worker, social service provider, or comparable position AND 1 year of experience related to assisting in or having primary responsibility for the professional development of another adult.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Path 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate degree in one of the following fields:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Child Development<\/li>\n<li>Early Childhood Education<\/li>\n<li>Or other early childhood-related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And 2 years of experience in a licensed center-based early childhood program serving children birth through 5 years of age as a teacher, care provider, child life worker, social service provider, or comparable position AND 2 years of experience related to assisting in or having primary responsibility for the professional development of another adult.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Path 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current Certified Childcare Professional (CCP)\u00ae\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>18 college credit hours in early childhood education or child development focusing on children birth through 5 years of age<\/li>\n<li>And 4 years of experience in a licensed center-based early childhood program serving children birth through 5 years of age as a teacher, care provider, child life worker, social service provider, or comparable position<\/li>\n<li>And 2 years of experience related to assisting in or having primary responsibility for the professional development of another adult.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Professional Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relate to the broad diversity of individuals representing a variety of cultural, regional, and socio-economic backgrounds working in early childhood settings<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to organize and facilitate learning activities, discussions, seminars, and problem-solving sessions with adults<\/li>\n<li>Understand and can articulate local and national regulations, standards, and guidelines related to early childhood programs serving children between birth and 5 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Be able to speak, read, and write English at a level that permits a CCP\u00ae Field Counselor to carry out his\/her duties and responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conflicts of Interest Stipulations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A CCP\u00ae Candidate may not choose a Field Counselor that shares ANY of the following relationships, as these are recognized by The NECPA Commission as a conflict of interest:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Director<\/li>\n<li>Co-Worker<\/li>\n<li>Spouse<\/li>\n<li>Immediate or Extended Family Member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Please contact our office with any questions at 855-706-3272 ext 101.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-143868\" style=\"height: 20px;
